アルバム『Hackney Diamonds』は10月20日発売。

ストーンズがオリジナル新曲で構成されたスタジオ・アルバムをリリースするのは

2005年の『A Bigger Bang』以来であり、2021年8月に長年バンドを支えたドラマー、

チャーリー・ワッツが亡くなってからは初めてのアルバムです。2016年にリリースさ

れたスタジオ・アルバム『Blue & Lonesome』はブルースのカヴァーで構成されてい

ました。

アルバムのレコーディングは、ロサンゼルスのヘンソン・レコーディング・スタジ

オ、ロンドンのメトロポリス・スタジオ、バハマのナッソーのサンクチュアリ・スタ

ジオ、ニューヨークのエレクトリック・レディ・スタジオ、同じくニューヨークの

ザ・ヒット・ファクトリー/ジャマーノ・スタジオなど世界中の様々な場所で行われま

した。

『Hackney Diamonds』は、ストーンズ（ミック・ジャガー、キース・リチャーズ、ロ

ニー・ウッド）とニューヨーク出身のプロデューサー兼ミュージシャンのアンド

リュー・ワットとの初めてのコラボレーション作品。

ポール・マッカートニーは「Bite My Head Off」でベースを弾き、エルトン・ジョン

は「Get Close」と「Live By the Sword」でピアノを弾いています。「Sweet

Sounds of Heaven」ではレディー・ガガがヴォーカルで、スティーヴィー・ワンダー

がキーボードとピアノで参加。

のドラムは「Mess It Up」と「Live By the

Sword」で聴け、「Live By the Sword」にはビル・ワイマンがベースで参加していま

す。

は「Tell Me Straight」で歌っていま

す。

アルバムのラストを飾るのは、バンド名の由来となった

のブルース・ナンバー「Rolling Stone Blues」のカヴァー。ミック・ジャ

ガーとキース・リチャーズのデュエットです。

日本盤CDにのみ収録されるボーナス・トラックは、2020年に発表された「リヴィン

グ・イン・ア・ゴースト・タウン」。
